Well when you have a wedding to plan for and a string quartet to entertain your guests you need to know that they can all dance so that's exactly what one couple did the day before their wedding!

OCTOBER

You may well have heard my name being mentioned on Radio Norfolk recently. Apparently I saved the day - curious?
Well Alan from Furze Hill House in North Walsham rang me in in desperation.
He had got planned a fantastic tea dance  for all of the residents to include music and dancing from glitzier times only to be let down at the last minute -
could I help?
Well it is my pleasure to say that I went there along with a couple that I teach who kindly demonstrated a few of the dances and managed to dance with a few of the residents as well.
As a thank you Alan has got in touch with Radio Norfolk to tell the story.
Let me know if you heard something.

Bert & Laura met at one of my classes fell in love got engaged and have now got married!   (Just call me Cilla!)
They had a reception in October in Norwich where their first dance included three other couples from their class and an amazing dance of course -
I did the choreography!!!
Well done to you both we all had a fantastic evening.

Congratulations to the pair of you and I am glad to say they are still learning to dance!

A party of  home educated boys & girls came to Wicklewood Village Hall on Friday 12th to have a session with me. We managed the Waltz and the Cha Cha Cha - by a show of hands the Waltz was the winner!!!

Hemblington Primary School

OCTOBER

A party of 12 came in to celebrate a 30th birthday in style with 2 hours of dance tuition before their evening out.

JULY

Saturday 11th July was the date on everybody's lips -
A night with Strictly Come Dancing  stars Darren Bennett & Lilia Kopylova.
How did I manage to get the stars to commit to coming toWymondham? Not only that they spent the evening with us dancing 5 fabulous Latin American Dances with 5 stunning costumes, did a question and answer session as well as have their photos taken with everybody individually. Hence to say the evening was AMAZING!!

I visited the Wymondham Young Farmers at their July meeting at the Wymondham Central Hall to teach them the social Foxtrot and the Cha Cha Cha. (I will be going back soon apparently)

JUNE

I was invited to help choreograph a dance for the Staff from Northgate High School for their very own 'Strictly Come dancing' event.( I was asked to judge but it clashed with my very own evening with Strictly Come Dancing stars Darren Bennett & Lilia Kopylova)

The news is they raised over £1500.00 for Children in Need - Well done guys -
See you next year!!

FEBRUARY

I was  involved with the National Trust at Blickling Hall. Here the Blickling Diggers re-enact times and history of the past. Their latest venture was to perform a piece set in 1938 so I was asked to help advise and choreograph two scenes which would involve the dances of that time.

JANAURY

I was asked to teach nearly 250 people for a corporate event held at
 The Norwich City Football Club.
Here they got stuck into a fab
Jive routine with
kicks and flicks and all sorts
(not quite in the league of "Strictly" but at least they all gave it a go).

NOVEMBER

I  completed some sessions with the students at Eastern College. I went over there for a couple of weeks where a group of around 20 or so students paired up and learnt the Waltz, the Quickstep, the Jive and the cha cha cha. Even some of the admin staff came and had a go.

A massive project that I was asked to do was to be asked to become involved as a  co-organiser/choreographer and a judge for a charity event  called 'Not quite Strictly Come Dancing'. Here I had to
choreograph  twenty  ballroom & latin American dance routines and an opening sequence.
The event was a sell out six months before the tickets were due to go on sale.
We had press coverage and the event raised a total of £2400.00 after all costs were deducted.

MAY

The Ladies of the Wymondham Abbey group kindly invited me along last year for a talk and to teach them some dance moves.

MARCH

I had a mad time with two of the branches of the Halifax Building Society on their bonus night . We moved some desks and chairs in one of their branches (in full view  of the late night shoppers) I got them dancing the Waltz and the Cha Cha Cha. Funny how there's always a camera around when the boss has a go!!!

Both the Harleston & the Wymondham Young Farmers have also had the taste of Ballroom & Latin American Dancing.

I have been involved with several hen nights and team building days across Norfolk.

I was asked to teach at a wedding reception at Barnham Broom Country Club. Here I got everyone up doing the Cha Cha Cha.
